Maceo Parker is best known for his work with James Brown, but as a solo artist, he has contributed a lot to the world of soul jazz. “Shake Everything You’ve Got” is now standard funk repertoire since its debut on the album Life on Planet Groove in 1992.
Michael Ghegan, who arranged and composed this track, is playing his Jody Jazz DV 7 mouthpiece on a Mark VI alto sax.
